Ian Ferguson entered the Financial Services sector in the UK shortly after graduating with a BA Hons in Economics in 1971. In 1987 he left the UK to work in Singapore and since then has held executive positions throughout Asia and for a two-year period in the Cayman Islands. He set up the Financial Services office of Hill Samuel Private Bank in Hong Kong in 1992, having previously been responsible for the marketing of banking products at the bank’s Singapore operation. He has been in Bangkok for just over a year after spending the previous four years in Shanghai.
