| Originally based in premises above the Volvo showroom on Sukhumvit Road, we were forced to relocate in 1997 when a fire completely destroyed the premises.
An urgent move to Soi Somkid was originally intended to be a temporary stay of a year or so. In fact Somkid Place turned out to be our home for 12 years and served us well. Over the years the group expanded and now employs more than 50 staff and associates in 5 cities around Thailand. MBMG Group now offers a wide range of services, including legal services, corporate consulting, accountancy, audit, corporate and personal insurance, tax-planning, personal wealth management, estate planning and property loans.
In 1998 we appointed award-winning Miton Asset Management as our portfolio managers and they have delivered exceptional investment returns since that time. Most recently this month they added the award of Best Balanced Managed Fund at the Moneywise Pension Awards. We subsequently formed a strategic partnership with Hamptons International Mortgages and are the only organization currently offering foreigners the opportunity to lease-purchase property in Thailand. Last year we entered into an alliance with RSM Advisory, one of the top 6 global corporate services and accountancy firms.
A new corporate headquarters was required to accommodate the growth and expansion of the group, so we recently moved to: 75/56 Ocean Tower II, 26F
